Quick answers
How do I link my iPhone and iPad?
Open OffScript on both. On one, pick Prompter; on the other, pick Remote. They find each other automatically over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The first time, type the 4-digit code shown on the prompter into the remote — after that they reconnect on their own.
They won't connect.
Make sure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are on for both devices and that they're near each other — no router or internet needed. If one was just opened, give it a few seconds to appear. Still stuck? Close and reopen the app on both, then try again.
How do I import a script?
Tap Library → import and pick from Files, Google Drive, iCloud — anywhere. Plain text, Markdown, and Word (.docx) all work. You can also paste a script straight into the editor.
How do I set the scroll speed?
Speed is set in real words per minute, not a vague 1–10 slider, and you can change it live from either device. A time-remaining readout updates as you go.
Can I record video inside the app?
Yes — Record mode films with your full-quality camera and the script scrolling right beside the lens, then saves straight to your Photos. For filming over other apps, use the Floating script window (Apple blocks floating windows over its own Camera app, which is exactly why Record exists).
What is the script markup (# ! ~ [ ] @)?
# heading · ! punch line · ~ soft line · [stage direction] (dim, never read aloud) · @ cue marker (a jump point on the remote). Everything's still just plain text, so it pastes in and out cleanly. The editor has a Copy Format for AI button that hands Claude or ChatGPT the exact format.
